Every day, with our team of around 230 people, we reliably produce high-quality, finished labels for our customers in the wine industry – including wineries, cooperatives, a large number of wine estates, start-ups, spirits producers and many more. A label is not just a simple message – it is the first impression a product makes on the consumer. We love perfecting that first impression.
As experts, we have been pursuing this mission since 1951. Founded by Otto Krämer in Kues, we have developed over the years into one of the leading manufacturers of self-adhesive labels in the wine, sparkling wine and spirits industry - with the help of our great team, with courage, a spirit of innovation and a passion for the craft of printing. We have been shaped by our roots and loyal customers, who have been with us from the very beginning, and by the market, which constantly presents us with new challenges. A challenge that we gladly accept.
The feeling of holding an exceptionally high-quality label as well as the customer's shining eyes, the knowledge of the individual steps and the expertise and craftsmanship with which this great product is created drives us to create outstanding products every day. Each label is a small masterpiece in itself, reflecting and representing the history, flavour and tradition of each product.
Our print works combines tradition and innovation. Craftsmanship is the foundation of our work. But we do not rest on our accomplishments – we are always on the lookout for new technologies to make our labels even more impressive, optimise our processes and create positive outcomes for everyone involved. We are proud that our labels are not only aesthetically pleasing but also meet the highest quality standards.

Our story
1951
Krämer Druck was founded in 1951 by Otto Krämer, a certified typesetter and bookbinder. The company was located in Bernkastel-Kues.
1976
In 1976, son Leo Krämer took over the business as tenant and in 1981 as owner. At that time, the business was based on the printing of wine labels for winegrowers and wineries, as well as the production of commercial printing.
1995
Since 1995, printing templates have been created digitally in the pre-press stage. This means that text and image integration as well as page assembly are carried out electronically. Typesetters and manual sheet assembly are now a thing of the past and digitalisation has arrived.
1998
We were one of the first printing companies in Rhineland-Palatinate to receive ISO certification back in 1998, laying the foundations for standardised production. Today, we are ISO 9001:2015 certified and continue to work on our quality management.
2001
In 2001, a further step towards innovation was taken with rotary offset printing in the new ‘Werk Andel’. In the same year, son Matthias and in 2006 son Christian joined the company. This was followed by specialisation in self-adhesive labels.
2013
Since this year we at Krämer Druck are FSC® (FSC-C115416) & PEFC (PEFC/04-31-2094) certified. In the coming years, production will also be followed by the administration in the new buildings in Andel. The former buildings in Kues are now used as a storage facility.
2023
We win the ‘Moselhelden’ competition with our project recycling of paper carrier tape and have been a certified Fair'n Green value-added partner. Find out more about sustainability at Krämer Druck.
Whilst the company had around 40 employees in 2001, by 2012 Krämer Druck was already providing secure employment for approximately 135 staff members. Today, we are proud that, with around 230 team members, we produce high-quality, finely finished labels for the wine, sparkling wine and spirits industries every day, and that each year we help our apprentices in craft, technical and commercial trades to launch their careers.

Our home is the world of wine labelling - whether in Baden, Rheinhessen or the Palatinate. In the beginning, our customers were the large and small winemakers of our unique Moselle region.
