„Gautschfeier“ 2024 and prepress team day out

As this year's Gautschen in Trier is unfortunately not taking place, our pre-press department has organised its own Gautschen celebration for its two now qualified ‘ companions of the black art’. Department manager Herbert also finally received his baptism of water after 24 years with the company.

In this centuries-old custom, journeymen in the graphic arts trade are washed out of their bad habits after successfully completing their training. To do this, the ‘Kornuten’ have to sit on a wet sponge and are dipped in a tub of water. The ‘Gautschbrief’ confirms that they are now honourable journeymen in the black art.

The 'Gautschlinge' were surprised with this as part of the pre-press team day. At lunchtime, the team went bowling together and the evening was rounded off with a barbecue in a colleague's garden.
