Krämer Druck supports emergency services with donation
The fire brigades of the Bernkastel-Kues municipality can look forward to a valuable addition to their equipment: Krämer Druck GmbH from Bernkastel-Kues has made it possible to purchase a new roll container hose including accessories for traffic safety. With the roll container, up to 500 metres of hose can be laid quickly and efficiently in future. The new roll container is loaded onto the multi-purpose vehicle stationed at the Mülheim Volunteer Fire Brigade and secures the additional water supply from the Moselle for Krämer Druck. It will also make a valuable contribution to many other operations.
The official handover of the roll container was attended by André Falke, fire chief of the Mülheim fire brigade, Thomas Edringer, fire chief of the Bernkastel-Kues association of municipalities, Benjamin Schweisthal, fire safety officer at the association, and Mayor Leo Wächter at Krämer Druck. Managing directors Christian and Matthias Krämer and fire safety officer Dominik Kaiser were delighted to welcome the visitors on behalf of the company.
During the meeting, not only was the new equipment presented, but the tasks of the fire brigades and the irreplaceable commitment of the many volunteers in the municipality were also discussed. The good cooperation between Krämer Druck and the municipality was also a topic of discussion. The printing company for wine and spirits labels employs around 240 people, many of whom are volunteer firefighters who often support the all-important daily operational readiness.
Mayor Leo Wächter and fire chief Thomas Edringer expressed their sincere gratitude on behalf of the fire departments for the generous support. ‘Donations like this are an important sign of the bond between the business community and the fire department,’ emphasised Wächter. ‘The new roll container will provide valuable service in emergencies.’
For Krämer Druck, too, this commitment is a matter that is very close to their own hearts. ‘We know how important a well-functioning and well-equipped fire brigade is for the region, and not least for businesses,’ explained Managing Director Christian Krämer. ‘With our support, we want to contribute to local safety.’
With the new hose roll container, the fire brigades of the Bernkastel-Kues municipality will be even better equipped for larger-scale operations in future – especially in the Moselle communities, where water supply from the Moselle over long distances plays a central role and existing potential can be used efficiently.
